Just had my first experience at this coffee shop, and wow, I'm impressed! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Lily, who was super friendly and took my order with a smile. I ordered a Chai Latte w/almond milk, and Kayla, who made it, went above and beyond by asking about my sweetness preference. She added a touch of vanilla, and let me tell you, it was the best chai latte I've ever had! As someone who works nearby at Ophelia's Banquets, I can definitely see myself becoming a regular here. Highly recommend!

I love studious and the comforting energy you get once stepping into the establishment. They’re employees and menu items are top tier. If you haven’t tried Xio’s horchata drinks, you’re missing out!!!! The best I have tried yet.

I was searching for a coffee shop nearby and stumbled upon this hidden shop. Blue Island doesn’t seem like much, but this cozy coffee shop totally transformed my day. It feels like there are a lot of locals who frequent this place. Supporting local businesses is always a great idea, right? It’s definitely worth checking out!

Who said the great coffee shops are only in the north side of Chicago?! Ditch the big name coffee shops, if you can, and shop small business! This place was not only unique and absolutely stunning inside and out, but the vanilla cappuccino was SO delicious. The blueberry muffin was tasty! I wish it was a tad bit sweeter, but combining it with the cappuccino was the move. They make their own flavored sweeteners. The vanilla one was just the perfect amount of vanilla flavor and sweetener. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity you are getting. The staff was super nice and informative. They sell cool merch, such as T-shirts. I’m so glad I found out about this hidden gem! 😍 I can’t wait to try more of their menu. Vanilla Cappuccino 10/10 Blueberry Muffin 8/10

This is well rated for a reason. Menu is only a taste of what you can get. My wife asked for a custom matcha flavor and they whipped it up no problem. The ambiance is simple, clean, and sentimental for the owner Brian: a great guy. The drinks are delicious and better than most chain coffees and teas. The staff is helpful and friendly. The restroom is clean and well kept. There is plenty of seating. Go ahead and enjoy!

This place is amazing. There are only two staff members so it's a bit of a wait but nothing too crazy. I had a latte and a bagel with cream cheese and it was all around delicious. The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting, this is what Blue Island needs. Who needs to head downtown or up north for great coffee when it's right here? You could see that the barista makes each drink with a lot of care. I'm definitely going to be coming here often, and not just because I love their cat clock :)

Probably the coolest coffee shop I’ve been to in the Chicago area, and best of all, it didn’t feel like it’s been overrun by tons of people yet. The atmosphere and ambient music was amazing. The food and drinks were really tasty, and the service was absolutely stellar. I was waiting for my food and I didn’t really think anything of the timing, but they came up to me with a free cookie and thanked me for waiting! Little touches like that set things apart. This place is kind of out of the way for me but I’m absolutely going to make it a point to come back if I need a place to come work on stuff.

This is a weekend staple for me and have even camped out on some WFH mornings. Amazing staff - so helpful and efficient. Environment is relaxed and clientele is super chill. They rotate seasonal drink items which are always delish. I’m so glad they are close to my neighborhood 🙌🏾.

A flash from the past definitely! I feel like I was looking at my old living room. Wonderful place for a coffee and pastry! Cozy and relaxing place lovely staff and love the variety of options here. Definitely stop by just to relax and read a book with some great people and atmosphere.
